Was your credit application signed by a manager, chef, or the LEGAL owner?

Is the applicant a new owner operating on a temporary alcoholic beverage permit that could be canceled?

Is the location in escrow? Has escrow closed?

4.

Was the purchase price for the business stated? What is the balance owing? Payments?

5.

Is the property and building owned or leased? What are the monthly payments?

6.

If the business has a liquor license, is the applicant ON the license?

7.

If numerous locations are owned, is ownership the same at affiliate locations?

8.

If the owner is a Corporation, who are the officers? Stockholders?

9.

If a Limited Partnership, who are the General Partners?

10. If a Limited Liability Company, who are the Managing Members?

11.

Has the applicant been in business for the amount of time stated?

12.

Were all PAST and PRESENT affiliations listed?

13.

Were ALL previous suppliers listed? ALL present suppliers?

14.

What is the payment history with present suppliers at the present location? With past suppliers at previous locations?

15.

Are NSF checks being passed to suppliers? How will you know?

16.

Has your customer given you a valid resale license number for his business?

17.

Do you have a complete history of all suits, liens and bankruptcies on the owner?

18.

Will competing trade suppliers release information to you? All other suppliers?

19.

Has an account recently been sent to collection by a competitor who is not listed on the credit application?

20.

If you attempt to obtain credit information yourself, do you have ALL of the above?

 

If the answer is NO, your Company is taking an unnecessary and expensive risk!
